Kashmir World Foundation
Kashmir World Foundation's or KWF's mission is to prevent the illegal poaching of endangered animals in remote regions all over the world using drones and artificial intelligence (AI). I worked on two different teams: drone design and artificial intelligence. Drone design consisted of using CAD and analysis software such as Rhino and VSPAERO to create airfoils and adjust fin/wing/body design that suited the evironment it was intended to fly. They were also unmanned drones i.e. UAVs that would fly in remote areas capturing real-time images and video of the regions to prevent illegal poaching and trafficking. The AI software used was Darknet V4 and it sorted through thousands of images to train the software to recognize specific animals in the regions. The goal was to have the software predict animals with a 95% accuracy overall.
